Like, can you build a boat that has a reverse chine on the bottom, at the same time build it with a sharper bow entry? Or how about building a boat that isn't as weight sensitive from side to side? We even had customers ask to keep the base model simple and affordable so they could add their own options (the nerve of some people). We did all that and more and came up with a boat that is designed to be the ultimate fishing boat, at the same time the ultimate performer. The 188 Rebel is built with a 72" bottom and a 14 degree Vee hull at the transom, but has a 24 degree bow entry. That does several things. First, the sharp entry cuts down on chop, and allows for a smooth ride in heavy water. Second, the wide bottom and mid-range hull at the transom reduces side-to-side weight issues. It also provides for a smooth, comfortable ride. Finally, with the reverse chine the 188 Rebel handles extremely well on flat water and it's incredibly stable on corners.
Another request was to keep it simple, which we did. The Zolatone deck and Sharkhide exterior makes the Rebel easy to maintain and keep clean. And to allow for personal style, you can add whatever options you'll need, all at a price that's affordable.
